You tell him this is not your hotel, but a tourist office

He tells you that you will need to make arrangements in the tourist office to “really see” India

You tell him you’re all set

He gets out of the car

You remember you prepaid for a ride to your hotel

You remember your original driver never showed up

You are getting frustrated

You approach a smiling man and ask if he speaks English

He says yes

You ask if he knows where the train station is

He smiles more and says yes, train station, yes!

You ask if he can tell you how to get here

His smile gets bigger and he says yes!

You ask him which direction you should walk to get to the train station

He smiles the biggest smile you’ve ever seen and says yes!

You are noticing a pattern here

You pause, and then ask him if he would like to travel to the moon with you in a spaceship

He says yes

You bow with your hands together and thank him in Hindi

He bows with his hands together says OK
